Dasha Shishkin (b. 1977) is an artist living and working in NYC, who creates wildly imaginative, narrative, stories in painting, drawing, and print.  The immediacy of her mark making  is confident, fresh, and unremorseful, depicting dark moods, high emotions, sinister stares, comedic acts, and sincere tenderness. Dasha's work possesses a rawness of her subjects that one can find both comfort and unease.

Dasha received her MFA from Columbia University, NY and has shown globally at numerous galleries and museums. Her work is in the collection of The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art. Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Dallas Museum of Art.
