His work is filled with references to his heroes of art, science, history, music, poetry and literature creating surrealistic combinations of animal, human, geometric, botanical forms to create his own dreamlike narratives.
JASL studied art at the Ecole superieure d’art visual in Geneva, Switzerland where he made his first etchings and has continued making prints ever since. His work is shown in galleries and museums worldwide and in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art.
